WHAT WE WILL VISIT

• Historic Train Carriages: Explore original locomotives and wagons used during the construction of the Kenya-Uganda Railway, dating back to the early 1900s.
• The “Lunatic Express” Locomotive: Learn the legendary story of this iconic train line and the challenges of building railways across East Africa.
• Exhibits Hall: Discover artifacts, maps, railway uniforms, and photos that trace Kenya’s rail journey from colonial times to the present day.
• Railway Graveyard: Walk among abandoned steam engines and rusting wagons — each with its own untold story.
• Train Cabins: Step inside vintage train compartments to feel the travel experience of the past.
• Museum Gift Shop: Browse railway-themed souvenirs, books, and crafts made by local artisans.

Transport from your hotel to the Railway Museum and back can be arranged at an additional cost, depending on group size.
