- A Bead Factory: See how recycled items and bones from butcheries are transformed into beautiful handmade beads.
- A Typical Kibera House: Enter a local home, engage with the residents, and ask questions about daily life in Kibera.
- Biogas Centre: Learn how human waste is transformed into sustainable energy.
- Key Locations: Explore the railway lines, Toi Market, Kibera Drive, small pubs, clubs, stadiums, and more — all alongside vibrant, friendly locals.
- Willvee Glass Rooftop Innovation Hub: Enjoy an aerial view of Kibera, shop for local curios, relax, take pictures, and enjoy refreshments.

Your tour directly supports our football academy and innovation centre.
Our tour guides personally contribute 10% of their salaries to our programs.
TOUR DETAILS
- Start Point: Java Coffee House, Adams Arcade
- Duration: 2–3 hours (includes a 2-hour guided walk)
- Group Size: Small groups (max 20 people)
- Toi Market Stopover: Includes a short walk through Nairobi’s biggest second-hand market.
Transport from your hotel to Kibera and back can be arranged at an additional cost (based on group size).
PREPARATION GUIDE
- Understand the Purpose: Our tours raise awareness, support grassroots initiatives, and promote learning from local communities.
- Restricted Photography: Always ask for consent before taking pictures.
- Dress Comfortably: Wear practical shoes — you may walk on unpaved roads or through narrow alleys.
- No Direct Handouts: To avoid dependency, support local programs instead. Ask guides for proper channels.
- Support Local Economy: Buy from local artisans, food vendors, and shops when appropriate.
- Health & Safety: Follow the instructions of your guide — they know what’s safe and what’s not.
